Flying over the Grampians

There was 1300 foot cloud cover above Barwon Heads recently. We headed over to blue skies around the Grampians.
Here the cloud from the east was flowing over the mountains in a flow that seemed driven by anabatic/katabatic influences. Anabatic flow upstream (left of pic) while the cool air immediately close to the rock face on the western side (right) causes a katabatibc flow down hill until the visible moisture is reabsorbed.The flow was pronounced with the air rushing down. There was however no real "wind" as such
